Welcome To Citylink

Citylink Transit provides free public transportation to the residents of Kootenai and Benewah Counties, North Idaho . This deviated, fixed-route bus service is made possible by a unique collaboration between the Coeur d’Alene Indian Nation and Kootenai County under the auspices of the Idaho Department of Transportation.

The system is operated according to Federal Transit Authority guidelines, under the supervision of the Kootenai County Metropolitan Planning Organization, or KMPO. Five 32 passenger buses operate 22 hours per day, seven days a week, on fixed routes covering an area of over 800 square miles. There are over eighty bus stops connecting Fernan, Coeur d’Alene , Hayden, Worley, Post Falls , State Line Village and Heutter.

The bus service also extends southward, to link up with the rural communities of Plummer and DeSmet in northern Benewah County . It is the goal of Citylink to provide reliable, free transportation to one of the fastest growing regions in the Pacific Northwest. Thanks for your interest in Citylink!
